Callaway Golf Clubs Will Change Your Game – Part Three

Callaway Golf Clubs Will Change Your Game – Part Three

The secret behind the FT Irons is fairly simple. The metallurgists at Callaway Golf created a new metal to feature in the irons’ designs. The metal, Tunite Alloy, weighs about 20 percent more than stainless steel. In addition, it has twice the density and is made of a tungsten and nickel base. With a small amount of silicon added for softness and ferro-chromium for polishing capabilities, the metal is a perfect fit. The tunite forms are used for all Callaway FT Irons. For instance, a set of Callaway FT i-Brid Irons also include a injection-molded thermoplastic urethane layer. This layer sits behind the clubface, allowing for more vibration reduction and an enhanced feel.

Callaway doesn’t build it’s callaway golf clubs for professionals alone. They seek to create products amateur golfers can utilize to not only enjoy but also improve their game. One mission for Callaway FT clubs is the ability to take an average golfer and minimize the impact of their flaws. The new FT drivers are said to allow amateurs hit straighter and longer than they’ve ever done before. The clubs are made to be forgiving of minor flaws in swing and power. Thus, each shot can appear much more perfect than it might with another type of club.

Currently, many golf professionals use Callaway golf clubs and prefer them over many other types of golf equipment or some times even over taylormade golf clubs. However, one of the most notable successes with the new Callaway Fusion series was when Annika Sorenstam used the ERC Fusion Driver in the latest LPGA Tour and won. In addition, rookie James Oh also recently used the ERC Fusion Driver and scored his first professional victory. After the line was unveiled, over 90 professionals switched to the ERC Fusion Driver within the first week. It has quickly become the number one driver model in both PGA European and Japan Golf tours. Many of the pros using this new Fusion line of clubs adore the ability to get a strong ball flight. With pros this excited about the new line of Callaway clubs, the Fusion Technology certainly is gaining momentum to change the nature of playing golf altogether.

When you grip these callaway golf clubs, you will falling love with them.

Dual crown and weighted power-base promote increased carry and distance. This golf Club of Burners are great as such! The first thing I noticed was the great sound. It was crisp, rather than a distinctive high ring or thud that you might find in many new drivers. Combined with the look and how easy it was to swing, there was a really solid overall feel to the club. The Tour Burner may be built primarily for distance, but you can really do whatever you want to do with this driver. I like to work the ball, and when you wanted it to fade, it would fade. Otherwise, it would just go straight, which was a real confidence booster. It was about five to 10 metres longer than my current driver, which is also a Taylormade, and mis-hits didn’t lose much distance. The trajectory was pretty high – I would probably try a lower loft or a shaft with a different kick point – but I liked how the ball flight really bored and didn’t float.

Modern head shape promotes lower, deeper and precision-placed CG for higher launch angle and lower spin. The TaylorMade Golf Tour Burner Driver has a dual crown made of steel, and the weighted power-base promotes increased distance. The lower and precision-placed center of gravity offers a higher launch angle and lower spin, while the SuperFast Technology gives increased swing speed.

SuperFast Technology promotes increased swing speed, faster ball speed and added distance

Inverted Cone Technology dramatically expands the portion of the clubface that delivers high COR for consistently longer drives on off-center hits. SuperFast 60-gram shaft is exceptionally lightweight and stable to promote greater distance and accuracy.

Pga Golf: Honda Classic Betting Odds Favor Mcllroy

Pga Golf: Honda Classic Betting Odds Favor Mcllroy

Many of the top golfers in the world will be in Palm Beach, Florida this week in Honda Classic odds. There are four golf tournaments in Florida this month including next week’s CA Championship at Doral so the top players in the world want to be ready. Y.E. Yang is the defending champion but he is not the favorite to win this week. There are actually three golf betting favorites at online sportsbooks to win the Honda Classic. Rory McIlroy, Paul Casey and Robert Allenby are each 16-1 with Lee Westwood 18-1.

Don’t expect to see a lot of low scores this week as the Champion Course at PGA National is a difficult course. In fact, it was ranked as the seventh hardest course on the PGA Tour last year. Yang won last year, shooting 9-under par and that was the lowest score since the event moved to PGA National. Yang is 28-1 in golf odds to defend his title. He is not without a chance as he played very well in last week’s Phoenix Open. Last year when he came to the Honda Classic he was ranked 460th in the world. He took the lead in the second round and beat John Rollins by one shot for the victory. Bet Rory Mcllroy 16-1 as a golf betting favorite in 2010 Honda Classic odds with a 10% bonus and 110% poker instant bonus.

“It has a sweet place in my heart,” Yang said about the Honda. “It will always be my first [PGA Tour win].” Paul Casey is one of the betting favorites at 16-1 in Honda Classic odds and he is playing as well as anyone. He lost in the Accenture Match Play Championship to Ian Poulter but Casey’s game is in fine form. He leads the tour in greens in regulation and that will be a key stat this week. Ernie Els won this event two years ago and he is 20-1 in golf odds with Camilo Villegas and Padraig Harrington at 25-1. Bet Paul Casey 16-1 as a golf betting favorite in 2010 Honda Classic odds which can be seen on the Golf Channel and NBC.

If you are looking for a longshot to win this week in Honda Classic odds you might want to take a shot with Steve Marino. He has a fourth and a fifth place finish this season and he is one of the leaders in greens in regulation. He is 40-1 in golf betting odds at online sportsbooks. There are number of options on the golf betting board in Honda Classic odds. In addition to odds to win the event, sportsbooks have match-ups, Top 4, Top European and even Top 10.

Can The PGA Survive An Absent Tiger?

Can The PGA Survive An Absent Tiger?

To say it has been a bad few months for Tiger Woods would be a slight understatement. As bad a beating as he has taken from the media and sponsors, the subsidiary impact of his mess is about to really hit hard with another group – the PGA.

The PGA Tour kicked off on January 4, 2010 with the SBS Championship in Kapalua, Hawaii. What you didn’t hear about it? Exactly. By the way, Geoff Ogilvy one the tournament for the second straight year at 22 under. Regardless, the victory didn’t get much coverage except on golf outlets because a certain individual was not there. This wasn’t particularly troubling since he rarely plays the tournament. As the weeks pass, however, this is going to become a bigger problem.

Catch a Tiger by its tale…and watch the PGA weep! This pretty much sums up the situation. Tiger has a bushel of personal problems and nobody knows when he will be returning to the tour. Until then, the PGA is going to have some serious problems. Statistics have shown that television viewership drops roughly 50 percent when Woods does not play. That is a huge issue for tournaments already facing issues in a tough economy.

Take the San Diego Open at Torrey Pines in the last week of January. This is a tournament Tiger traditionally has always played at. All indications are that he will not this year. Torrey Pines is a tremendous golf course, but the promoters are having serious issues finding a major sponsor for the tournament. The tournament was once known as the Buick Open, a Tiger sponsor, but that has all gone by the wayside. With a smaller television audience sans Woods, it is simply proving to be difficult to attract sponsors per radio reports out here in San Diego. The tournament appears as though it will go on with a group of secondary sponsors, but this is a sign of things to come with future PGA events.

Any way you slice it, the PGA is in for a brutal year. A combination of a Tiger gone missing with a sour economic environment is a toxic mix. The PGA will survive, but a drop in win purses may have players realizing how important Tiger is to the tour.

REVIEW:

“I was recently looking betweeen the Taylormade R7 irons, Mizuno MP-57 irons, Cobra S9 and Cobra FS-T irons, and the Taylormade Tour Burners. I narrowed it down to the two Taylormades and went with the Burners for the great feel, distance, and accuracy. Also, they are new for 2008 and only [$]. The name Tour doesn’t mean that they are meant for Tour players. Actually, they are forgivind clubs with great results. I would recommend these clubs to anyone wanting to improve their game.”

Taylor Made Golf Clubs: Golf Clubs Made Using The Metalwood Technology

Taylor Made Golf Clubs: Golf Clubs Made Using The Metalwood Technology

At PGA tournaments and other golf tours, you will notice that most golfers use golf clubs and drivers by Taylor Made. Taylor Made golf clubs are created using the latest metal wood technology. As a result, any player can have his very own Taylor Made golf club.

Among the popular Taylor Made golf clubs manufactured using metalwood technology include the Tour Preferred, Pittsburgh Persimmon, Burner, and Burner Bubble. Each and every one of these golf clubs are believed to be high-performance golf clubs. Taylor Made golf clubs have titanium club heads, and because they are made of titanium, they are very strong yet very light.

The various Taylor Made golf club models boast of specific features that make them popular choices among golfers.

* The R7 Fairway Woods

This Taylor Made golf club belongs with the Taylor Made Launch Control (TLC) Port. You can remove and install TLC cartridges, allowing you to modify the CG (center of gravity) location to change the draw and fade degrees resulting to more accurate shots and long distances.

* R5 Titanium Fairway

This Taylor Made golf club features a club head made of titanium. Many golfers find this golf club easy to use and hit the golf ball with. It features permanently attached TLC cartridges that allow a player to hit the ball high, long, and straight. This is the Taylor Made golf model that is ideal for golf players who prefer not to remove and install cartridges all of the time.

* V Steel Fairway Woods

This Taylor Made golf club boasts of power, accuracy, and versatility in shots. Its characteristic V-shaped sole is what’s responsible for improving the force of impact of the sole as it hits the turf.

* Rescue Dual

This Taylor Made golf club features double TLC ports which are spaced wide apart to allow higher forgiveness on mis-hits. The club also features a T-shaped sole that gives it stability and decreased drag upon impact, promoting better accuracy and distance. Because this golf club has a low CG, it is much easier to launch compared to a long-iron. The result is higher and longer shots.

* Rescue Dual TP

This Taylor Made golf club has a dual TLC port and movable weight technology developed by Taylor Made. This club is best known for promoting degree variations of draw and fade. In addition, this club allows for increase forgiveness. Between the Rescue Dual TP and the Rescue Dual, Rescue Dual TP has a higher CG allowing for lower, piercing ball flight. This is the golf club ideal for experience golf players.

* Rescue Mid

This Taylor Made golf club is regarded as the company’s breakthrough utility golf club. It is made to be much easier to use compared to a long-iron while still providing longer distance. The excellent performance of this particular Taylor Made golf club can be attributed to its ability to unite a high inertia flash with a lower, deeper CG resulting to maximum forgiveness when a player mishits, launches the ball at too high an angle, or hits the ball with a high spin.

* Rescue Fairway

This Taylor Made golf club has a low and deep CG. This club allows for a smooth progress of the ball when it is hit high, long, and straight. This Taylor Made golf club features a double sole, providing for improved playability. Taylor Made created this particular golf club so that it launches a high angle with a high spin for long-carrying shots.

This is a compilation of my holes-in-one (or hole-in-ones, whatever the plural is) obtained since I started playing Mario Golf Toadstool Tour (December 2003). I have more holes-in-one in stroke play and other modes (17 total holes-in-one on the six main courses, and 50 at Congo Canopy as of 1/12/08), but the game only saves highlights from Tournament and Speed Golf modes. Some of these holes were played using Advance Tour characters (Neil/Ella) or custom clubs. Pictures of MGTT records and stats can be found in my Photobucket. s139.photobucket.com

I recently got these irons to replace my old Burner Oversize which I loved dearly. Having played those for so long, I wanted to maintain a similar sized shape & size head…not some of the clunky shovels out there in the GI Iron category. In comparing these to my old Burners, depsite being classified as a midsize iron by TM the heads are bigger than my old Burner OS while still maintaining an atractive & similar topline & sole width! I bought these on mygolfwholesale for much less than the current retail sale price. Even with the additional cost to get them adjusted I still made out. So far I have play 2 full rounds and hit the range several times and I am hitting the ball better than ever before. Like the other reviews state, its taking a bit of adjustment to my new distances, I am now hitting a PW 150 at a full swing…thats a bit of a change. Mis hits and off center shots still go far and straight and stick on target. The ball trajectories are great (stock Burner 105g stiff shafts), no ballooning that I have experienced so far and they are comparable to my existing golf clubs ball flights. I find every iron is pretty easy to hit and unless I throw a really bad swing at the ball, no slicing what so ever thanks to the med. offset. Workability is good with these irons as well, I am able to hit a draw with relative ease depsite my natural ball flight being either dead straight or a slight fade. Feedback is nice, you know when you hit off center but its not jarring. The factory tour velvet grips are very nice and feel great and the 105g shafts I find to be a great feel. Overall I would recommend these irons if you are looking for something in the GI cateogy which have a nice clean look and feel. At the new prices, its hard to beat.
