Embers. This is what I consider the words of the Golf Press to play as Tiger Woods golf game in the last month. The man had been repaired four top-10 and a tournament victory since his knee surgery, but wonder critics, when the already 30 completed something. Well, Tiger shot a 65 in the final round of the Memorial Tournament, securing another victory for ‘09 and the [Las Vegas] hot favorite for the U.S. Open come to Bethpage.

Ready? “It’s more like” start “for this Fan of links. When it comes to issues of durability, capacity, and the concept of being “dumped” there is a lot less things to do in the video game that bears the name of Tiger. The main reason is that EA Tiburon, Tiger Woods franchise has not had a competitor have been linked by 2003, it is not difficult to be the best and / or considered not end when no one else in the race. Although Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 can fall without new features, and decided to still have the xbox game 360, the number of golf at Tiburon franchise crew to push the intellectual property to new heights. While this can do more with the separation of Tiger Woods 10 Hot Shots franchise is solid, Xbox gamers will benefit from this rivalry finds in Sony devices. A word of warning: If you do not believe that Tiger Woods 09 was too high, probably feeling like TW 10 in the middle of these games is very similar. TXB happened when Tiger Woods 09, and even if there are changes to the engine, which were well received (even me flabbergast as Hot Shots ball flight changes on the basis of the Court are located, while the Tiger Woods franchise), the kernel enough for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 power-players, without the need to refine a major restructuring. A major change for the creation of Tiger Woods, we know and love is put the system. During the time I can remember, has EA forced players to take different putters in their pockets, each of which is a virtual fixed length. Take for example a “10-foot” stick by eight foot putt means that an attack would be by 80% over a perfectly flat surface the ticket. Take a club is a putt from 20 feet by 18 feet on the slopes of one meter, however, and you have fought. To the mathematical skills are needed to reduce in a play by TW putt, decided to Tiburon with a single club that can go to achieve any long putts. His name is just the shock, and works as advertised, at least for those who have patience to learn an entirely new system.

Villegas Wins Honda Classic Title

Villegas Wins Honda Classic Title

Colombian golfer Camilo Villegas landed the Honda Classic title at Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, after holding off a European challenge led by Justin Rose.

However Villegas was not prepared to let his hard-earned lead slip away and he won by five shots from second-placed American Anthony Kim, landing his third PGA Tour title and a million-dollar pay day. Villegas did drop three strokes in five holes on the back nine, however he finished in style with a long putt for birdie at the 18th to card a round of 68 and a total of 13 under for his week. That score put him five shots in front of Kim, who followed up yesterday’s disappointing 73 with a much-improved 67.

Rose shot a sparkling six-under-par 64 in his final round to jump to third place on seven under for the tournament, and fellow Englishman Paul Casey finished a shot behind in a share of fourth place with Fiji’s Vijay Singh.

Casey, who followed his opening 73 with a second-round 64, again went under par today with a classy 67 which included four birdies in five holes from the 12th to 16th.

Singh’s challenge faltered as he made bogeys at 15, 16 and 17 in a two-over round of 72.

Sweden’s Fredrik Jacobson shared sixth place with American Michael Connell after carding 69 for the fourth successive round.

Here is a complete list of the clubs that Camilo Villegas used to win his third PGA Tour event, the 2010 Honda Classic:

How they work

Bushnell’s Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 laser beam (as classified by the FDA), which is “bounced” off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder’s high-speed digital clock measures the time it takes for the laser beam to reach the target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within +/- 1 yard/meter and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.

Learn More About Southern California Public Golf Courses

Learn More About Southern California Public Golf Courses

Although San Diego golf courses and San Diego public golf courses abound, one of the best courses in this warm and wonderful part of California is the San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course.  A public golf course that was once the host to the PGA Tour, today’s San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course has been updated a bit from earlier years, but loses none of its vintage appeal for golfers who take advantage of this wonderful course and book tee times.

The San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course, which opened in 1997 and was designed by Ted Robinson Sr.,  is built along the scenic San Diego River, and the river plays a large part in the layout of the golf course.  Riverwalk is the only one of the San Diego golf courses that features twenty-seven holes that are par seventy-two.  Created out of three nine-hole courses, San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course abounds with water.  Water is used on half of the twenty-seven holes, and a beautiful waterfall is featured on the signature hole of the course.

Earlier in its history, this southern California public golf course was known by several different names.  In the 1960s the course was known as the Mission Valley Country Club, and later was called the Stardust Country Club before achieving its current name.  In years past, San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course has been the host for the Farmers Insurance Open, which is part of the PGA Tour, although it was formerly known as the San Diego Open.  From the 1960s until the 1980s, celebrity Andy Williams hosted this popular event.

In addition to the San Diego Riverwalk Golf Course, many golfers also spend quality play time at other San Diego golf clubs and San Diego public golf courses.  Popular San Diego golf clubs include the lovely Vineyard at Escondido.  Here you will experience a scenic layout that winds through acres of verdant wetlands with stunning mountain backdrops. Lush, rolling fairways meander along wildlife preserves.  One of the popular San Diego public golf courses is the Lomas Santa Fe Country Club,  With eighteen holes and rated at par seventy-two, many golfers enjoy the amazing views of the Pacific Ocean while playing the wide fairways and trying to stay clear of the bunkers.  Child care is available here, as is a fitness facility, jacuzzi, spa, sauna room and swimming pool, so that the entire family will have an active time here.

Book golf course tee times at these and other top San Diego golf courses easily online.

THE PLAYERS Championship

THE PLAYERS Championship

THE PLAYERS Championship

“(THE PLAYERS) has … tradition and history, and I had watched it a lot before I came over and played it the first time, and I think that goes for everybody that’s a keen golfer,” Stenson said. “Especially if you’re a professional golfer, from whatever corner of the world you come from, you will have seen this event and know what great history it’s got and what great champions you’ve got from the past (wholesale golf).”

Stenson has made four consecutive cuts at TPC Sawgrass. Besides his win a year ago, Stenson also tied for third in 2006. In those four tournaments, he has five rounds in the 60s and 11 at par or better (used taylor made golf clubs).

“It’s a course I love playing, and it’s even sweeter to return as defending champion,” Stenson said. “And I will try my hardest to have a good week this week, and I could be the first one to go back-to-back, I guess.”

At the time of his win, Stenson moved to No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking. Entering this week’s tournament, Stenson is ranked 18th. His top PGA TOUR finish this season was a tie for 33rd at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship. In five international starts in 2010, Stenson’s top performances are a pair of ties for eighth — at the Dubai Desert Classic in February and the Volvo China Open last month.THE PLAYERS Championship dates to 1974 when Jack Nicklaus won the first tournament. The event permanently moved to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1977 and found a home at TPC Sawgrass five years later.

TPC Sawgrass’ PLAYERS Stadium Course annually ranks as one of the most-difficult venues on the PGA TOUR, making scoring on the four par 5s — Nos. 2, 9, 11 and 16 — even more important at THE PLAYERS. No player has taken advantage of those four TPC Sawgrass holes over the years more than Tiger Woods, who is a cumulative 92-under-par.

Gripping Your Club for a Great Golf Swing

Gripping Your Club for a Great Golf Swing

What is the proper golf grip?  Simply, having the right golf grip is probably one of the most important aspects of the golf technique because if you get this part wrong, the rest of your swing is already shot.

Very simply, if you do get the golf grip right, even if you do a lot of things wrong during the golf swing, you still have a chance at hitting a decent shot.  Here are some golf tips for beginners and more advanced players to help you get the proper golf grip for your swing, and help you play a lifetime of good golf.

First of all, remember that there are three different ways to grip a golf club when swinging. No one is necessarily the most effective, so here they are: the overlapping grip, the interlocking grip, and the baseball grip.

Again, no one of these grips is the exact right way, and you will have to experiment to find out which one works for you.  Keep in mind, the overlapping grip is the one that most of the PGA Tour pros use, and you very well might find that works the best for you.

For the overlapping golf grip, you simply put your little finger of one hand over your index finger.  For the interlocking grip, it is very similar to overlapping, but the two fingers simply interlocked instead of overlap.  It is notable that Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus both used the interlocking golf grip, although most PGA pros don’t. You certainly can’t do much better than these two.

With the baseball grip, the set of fingers are not overlapped or interlock, but basically meet together like with a baseball grip.  Very few PGA pros use this golf grip, but if you find works good for you, you might want to give it a shot.

No matter which grip you decide to use, however, make absolutely sure that your hands are relaxed because this is the most important part of the golf swing.  If your hands are tight and tense, this will add tension to the rest of your body, and therefore will slow your swing down and hurt your golf swing.  The only way you can make a proper golf swing is when you are completely relaxed; if you tense up over the ball, this will cause you to mis-hit it.

Hopefully these proper golf grip tips will help you get the right golf grip for your swing, and to start playing golf as effectively as you can possibly play.  Again, as I said earlier, no matter how good your golf swing, if you don’t have the right grip, you can never play as effectively as you otherwise might.

Simply experiment with these three different grips, find out which one works the best for you, and then start practicing with it every single day. The only way to really master anything is to practice it quite a bit, so find the proper golf grip that works for you, and practice until you master it.

Also, there are many great golf tips and lessons on the web that might help you out as well. Hopefully these tips will help you improve your game quickly and effortlessly.

Even Used, Callaway Golf Clubs are Still the Best

Even Used, Callaway Golf Clubs are Still the Best

Callaway golf is the undisputed leader in golf club technology and sales. The company is constantly developing new products and improving existing products to ensure that Callaway golf drivers, woods and putters outperform the competion. In 2003 Callaway Golf was the first golf manufacturer to receive more than 100 US patents in a single year. Their commitment to excellence is unchallenged.

To understand how Callaway Golf compares to other golf club manufacturers, you need only to review their history.

1) 1986, Callaway was the first to use computer controlled milling machines, ensuring the flatness of their putter surfaces;

2) 1995, they had the number one driver on PGA, LPGA, Senior PGA, Nike and European PGA tours. Callaway Golf also became the number 1 golf manufacturer in sales of irons and woods;

3) 1996, they became the worlds largest manufacturer of golf clubs and Callaway Golf Ball Company was formed;

4) 1997, Sales reach 9 million, which was 3 times larger than the nearest golf club manufacturer;

5) 2003, Callaway Golf was the number 1 brand in woods, putters and irons combined for seven consecutive years;

6) 2007, Callaway has 17 products on the Golf Digest Hot List. They have irons, woods, drivers and golf balls which made Editor’s Choice.

Upon reviewing the above history, it is clear that Callaway Golf clubs are the best in the industry. Unfortunately, this technology also comes at a price. A brand new set of Callaway golf clubs can easily cost ,000 - ,000. Although these prices seems high, they are comparable to golf club sets from other large golf manufacturers.

If you are new to the game of golf or do not want to spend as much on golf clubs, you should consider buying used golf clubs. You can purchase used Callaway golf clubs for substantially less while still getting top quality clubs. When purchasing used golf clubs beware of inferior quality merchandise, imitation Callaway golf clubs, clubs that have been altered from original manufacturers specifications and similar issues.

Unless you are a seasoned golf professional or an avid golf player, used Callaway golf clubs are highly recommended. To ensure that the used golf clubs that you’re buying are of the highest quality, purchase certified pre-owned used Callaway golf clubs. The benefits of certified pre-owned golf clubs are as follows:

1) the used golf clubs come with a warranty;
2) the golf clubs are compared to the original manufacturing specifications to ensure quality;
3) they are certified authentic Callaway golf clubs; and
4) they are substantially cheaper than brand new Callaway golf clubs.

Purchasing certified used Callaway golf clubs is similar to purchasing certified pre-owned automobiles. You know what you are getting and you receive a warranty. Make sure your golf club dealer is authorized to sell certified pre-owned used Callaway golf clubs. You can also visit our website for a certified dealer that can sell used Callaway golf clubs that are guaranteed to be authentic.

Are Hybrid Golf Clubs worth Using?

Are Hybrid Golf Clubs worth Using?

Hybrid golf clubs have appeared in the past few years, and their popularity will no doubt continue to increase. Phil Mickelson used a hybrid numerous times during his win at the 2007 Player’s Championship. Many other top PGA Tour players use hybrid clubs as well, and the popularity of these clubs will continue to skyrocket. Taylor Made has said that one-fourth of all its wood sales in 2007 will be hybrids. Almost one-third of U.S. golfers now choose to carry a hybrid golf club in their bags compared to about 7% in 2004. The trend is clear.

Why Use a Hybrid Golf Club?
In short, a hybrid golf club is easier to hit than a long iron with the same loft, and with a hybrid golf club the ball will have a higher trajectory. To understand this one needs to know about two things: the 24/38 rule, and the vanishing loft phenomenon which has occurred in golf over the past 20-30 years.

The 24/38 Rule
This is a rule known by golf clubmakers. Essentially it says that most golfers, that is the vast majority, do not have the ability to consistently hit an iron with 24 degrees or less of loft and 38 or more inches of length. For the vast majority of golfers in today’s world, this means that they cannot hit shots consistently with any iron longer than a five iron. Here’s why.

The Vanishing Loft Phenomenon
Surely every golfer is aware that the lofts of iron clubs have crept lower over the years. Golf club companies would introduce new clubs and promote how much farther you can hit a 5 iron, for example, with their new clubs than you could with your old 5 iron. They didn’t immediately tell people that the new club had less loft and was really more like their old 4 iron, but eventually this became obvious. So a 4 iron today has generally settled into lofts of 23-24 degrees vs. 28 degrees some years ago. Applying the 24/38 rule to this means that only a few golfers today can consistently hit a 4 iron. How is it that the lofts and lengths of clubs were allowed to change? It so happens that there are no official standards for these and other golf club design parameters. Thus the golf club companies could make the lofts be whatever they thought was best for the marketing department, within reason.

Why Does The Ball Fly Higher With a Hybrid Golf Club?
The answer to this question is easy to understand. With a hybrid golf club the center of gravity (CG) of the club is farther back. For example, the CG of a 4 iron or any other iron club for that matter is slightly behind the club face. A 4 hybrid, which looks like a small wood club (wood as in 3 wood, 5 wood, etc. All these are made of metal these days) has a CG that is farther back. This make the ball get into the air easier and thus the club seems easier to hit.

Should You Hit Hybrid Golf Clubs?
Unless you are a very skilled player to whom the 24/38 rule does not apply, the answer is probably yes. Even PGA Tour players, who clearly are not bound by the 24/38 rule are using them because sometimes they want to get those long iron shots higher into the air. In fact for most players, the longest iron in their bag should probably be a 5 iron. 3 and 4 hybrids should replace your 3 and 4 irons, which most golfers cannot hit properly and consistently. And remember, your hybrid golf clubs should be the same lengths , or at most a half inch longer, than the iron which they are meant to replace. You want to replace the 3 and 4 irons with the equivalent hybrid golf clubs. What you don’t want is a club that will hit the ball further and create a yardage gap between the 4 hybrid and 5 iron, for example. Thus, the lofts of hybrid golf clubs and the irons they are to replace should be equal as well. You want your 4 hybrid to travel the same distance that your 4 iron did. Give hybrid golf clubs a try- they are a great addition to the game.
